Water leak on 99th Ave.

King county roads crew cleaned out the ditches on the East side of 99th AVE Four weeks ago, at the corner of 99th and 264th water started running down the newly cleaned ditch, so I did what I always do check it for chlorine (Bingo) not to mention the leak was right Infront of a meter. After calling in Emergency dig permit, locates and lining up Zellerhoff construction to make the repair we dug the leak up and found someone had replaced the old steal line that went from the main to the meter with black ploy line (inferior water line) the only way to get rid of that line entirely is to replace the whole service. We made the repair and crossed our fingers.

One week later it failed again prompting us to replace the old service with a new one. The main is on the other side of the street meaning a road bore new 1″ coper line meter, meter seter meter box and a customer gate valve. Job done right.

roof construction.

Vashon Custom Homes (The contractor replacing the old roof) has finished with the roof and replaced the remaining soffits and facia on the rest of the building. They did a nice job! The building is ready for the next phase painting.

Painting the D.W.A Building.

Board member Paul Witherspoon and I pressure washed re-nailed some siding and laid a howl lot of caulking on the D.W.A building last week. Paul — huge kudos to you for the painting project! What a gift to the community!

Dave — is KingCo responsible for breaking something that caused that leak? Is there an insurance claim? It sounds like it’s not the homeowner’s responsibility as it’s on “our side of the meter”, correct?
